Keep Checking or Miss Out
I’m a big twitter fan and it’s a good thing. How else is one to keep up with all the great deals on fabulous jewelry? A press release on December 15, from EPR Retail News announced that leading online retailer Titanium-Jewelry.Com, is offering shoppers a special incentive on their cobalt rings thru December 31, 2011. Here it is, with a special coupon code, (I’ve included it in the link) we can save 15% on the purchase of their fabulous cobalt rings or mens cobalt wedding bands. I ‘m only sorry, I didn’t find this before, I’ve been wasting valuable shopping time. So to make up for it, I’m sharing some of my favorites, so as to cash in before the end of the year. The worst case scenario is, that if we do happen to miss out, we only get great prices, instead of spectacularly great prices. So lets get started.

PRAZISE by Benchmark
The PRAZISE is Right
I absolutely love the near 3D effect that PRAZISE by Benchmark gives off. Its amazing how stunningly white cobalt is, even more so than platinum, which is needless to say, much more expensive. After a while, one mens wedding band starts to look like another, but I cannot imagine that happening, ever, with this band. The 3 permanently blackened grooved channels are a look that you rarely see, even in other cobalt rings.
On Track With WILLIAMS BLACK

WILLIAMS BLACK by Heavy Stone Rings
This has got to be the most unique ring on the market, so notably distinguished in fact, that it won the prestigious Jewelers Choice Award. It’s amazing, this cobalt band is actually made of 27 different parts, hand crafted and styled to perfection. It is 10mm, encircled with black zirconium plates, and fastened together with 18k yellow gold rivets. High polished cobalt edges pull this look together and is an eye catching look from every angle. Fabulous!
CONSTRUCT-ion Zone

CONSTRUCT by Benchmark
The hot trend for mens rings is black and bold, that includes black diamonds over white diamonds, putting the dazzle in your band. The contrast of the scratch resistant, high polish of the cobalt and the pitch deep black of the inset diamonds, has such a masculine feel, I love it. Cobalt rings maintain their luminescent glow, a natural shine that does not have to be re-polished by your jeweler, just take a soft cloth, and you’ve got your show room sparkle back. I’m sold.
DON’T WAIT TOO LONG
Once again, I apologize for not being on this sooner, but there is still a week to get in on the deal. Don’t hesitate, find your favorite and treat your self, while the going is good!
The Krupp Diamond and Pursuit of Perfection

Liz wearing the iconic Krupp Diamond
A Memento of Passion
Few love affairs conjure up the fire and ice dynamic of Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton. Over the course of their tumultuous liaison, Burton lavished Taylor with extravagant gifts of diamonds, emeralds and countless other tokens of his mad passion for her. Four years into their first of two marriages together, Burton purchased Liz what has come to be known as the Krupp Diamond. A 33.19 carat Asscher cut (very similar to an emerald cut, though a little more elongated) center stone surrounded by baguette cut diamonds on either side. He won and purchased this brilliant ornamental masterpiece at auction, beating out famed jeweler Harry Winston, paying over $305,000, the highest amount at that time, ever paid for a ring at auction. His only desire, to place this glamorous piece of jewelry, on his lady love’s finger. Once in her possession, it became the crowning treasure of Taylor’s collection, rarely to leave her hand ever more. It was soon synonymous with her persona of elite Hollywood glamour and royalty. Not surprising then, is the outcome, that once again this timeless stone has made its mark, being sold at auction for $8,818,500 at Christies.

The Krupp Diamond
There Can Be Only One
There is only one Krupp Diamond, just as there will only ever be one Elizabeth Taylor. Her life and the heartbreaking love affair she shared with Richard Burton, are the stuff legends are made of. Her passing, as well as the aquisition of her treasures to new guardians, marks the end of a now by-gone era. Taylor once made the statement, she did not feel as though her jewelry were her trophies, rather she was simply here to take care of them. In her honor, I’ve assembled a few pieces that in my mind, stay true to flavor of her style, though no one of course can ever surpass it.
ArtCarved, a name that has become one in the same with chic elegance, has a fabulous line of mens cobalt wedding rings. Liz loved platinum, and cobalt has a fire that burns with the passion of platinum, a fantastic choice for mens rings. They also create a glamorous line of emerald cut ladies engagement rings that are available in a variety of precious metals. Here are some of my favorites.
